“When do you visit your doctor? While you are well, or after you are sick? Why go when you are well? [Your doctor] would simply tell you that he could find nothing wrong. How could he prescribe any treatment if he could make no diagnosis?

Understand, I am not arguing against doctors… I merely present to you the FACTS about the health-building qualities of natural nutrition. You may choose either of the two methods for battling disease. But regardless of your choice, nutrition is the foundation upon which your health structure rests. “

~ A Study Course in Nutrition by Forrest Shaklee Sr., DC, DD

A focus on prevention…

Your overall health is directly influenced by the daily habits you’ve formed. Yes, factors such as environment and genetics also impact health, but for better or for worse, your health is the result of your choices each and every day. From the foods you eat, to the quality of sleep, type and frequency of exercise, and how you recreate… each choice impacts your health.

Small, healthy habits can reduce the likelihood of illnesses or injuries and keep you out of the doctor’s office. It doesn’t take much to adopt a prevention mindset. Some small and consistent lifestyle changes can make a big difference in your health and well-being. You don’t have to become a CrossFit junkie or a strict vegan to prevent illness. You can simply start taking walks around the block and stop using table salt. Small habits add up!

One smart habit worth adding to your daily regimen is taking Shaklee food supplements. Start with Vitalizer

Shaklee Vitalizer

Small changes, big results…

Adopting a healthy mindset can prevent many of the common illnesses and injuries that have become common-place. Physical issues like hyper-tension, obesity, and Type II Diabetes, are on the rise. It is estimated that without intervention, 42% of people will experience hypertension, 25% of people will fall within the obesity range, and 24% of people will be diagnosed with Type II Diabetes by year 2025.

An apple a day… plus these tips… can keep the doctor away!

It’s said that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apples are an excellent source of fiber and vitamin C, and… they taste delicious. So… eating apples and other nutritious foods is one of the best ways to stay healthy and out of the doctor’s office.

Preventing illness and injury is important. There are three ways to prevent disease:

♦♦ Primary prevention: Taking action to avoid disease altogether
♦♦ Secondary prevention: Screening to catch disease early
♦♦ Tertiary prevention: Managing disease to stop or slow progression

Ideally, preventative action to avoid disease altogether is preferable to treating and trying to slow its progression. Thankfully, there are plenty of things you can do to prevent illnesses and stay out of the doctor’s office. Here are some helpful tips…

⇒⇒ Shop the perimeter of the grocery store, where you’ll likely find the most nutritious and foods. Meat, dairy, produce, and bread are usually located along the four walls of the store. Most highly processed foods are found on the inside isles.

⇒⇒ Take high-quality food supplements. Because of today’s farming practices and food production, matter how hard you try, you cannot get the nutrients you need from just food alone. Supplements are a must! We recommend Shaklee, of course!

⇒⇒ Get outside 30 minutes a day. Your body benefits by being outdoors. Your body can absorb a daily dose of vitamin D from as little as 30 minutes of sunshine. Early morning light helps set and regulate the circadian rhythm. That’s the process your body uses to wake in the morning and prepare to sleep at night! Also, 30 minutes is the recommended daily amount of exercise we need each day to keep our heart healthy and blood pressure stable. Doing yard work, taking a walk, or virtually any other activity can boost your benefits.

⇒⇒ Avoid chemicals of all kinds. From cigarettes to parabens, avoiding chemicals is an easy way to prevent disease. Abstain from smoking, excess alcohol, energy drinks, and chemical-laden beauty products. Check labels to be certain your products are free from dyes, fragrances, harmful oils, and additives. Simple swaps can make a big difference in the level of exposure you have to chemicals in your home as well as on… or in… your body.

⇒⇒ Practice self-care every day. Our minds and our bodies are one. What fuels the body, fuels the brain and what delights the mind, energizes the body. Self-care is an invaluable way to prevent mental and physical illnesses. Taking care of yourself and doing things you love refreshes your mind and your spirit which easily translates to physical health too. Do things each day that make you feel alive and excited.

Every healthy choice you make prevents countless health issues. That apple you ate for snack, is promoting gut health, stabilizing your mood, and giving you energy you’ll need to get through until it’s time for your next meal. Your consistent activities can prevent disease and improve your daily life.

Supplements that help prevent illness…

There are literally hundreds of thousands of “nutritional” products available today. It would be a stretch to say that a majority of them build health and help prevent illness. In fact, a study from the Journal of the American Nutraceutical Association (2000) found that 97% of vitamin and mineral supplements sold in “health food” stores are toxic, ineffective or both, and some can lead to hormone disruptions, liver failure, high blood pressure, and heart attacks. But don’t worry…

You won’t find any toxic ingredients in Shaklee food supplements! They’re clinically proven to be absolutely safe and to always work. Shaklee supplements, when taken as directed, truly help prevent illness because they give your cells the nutrients they need to detoxify, repair, rebuild and multiply successfully. That’s what supplements are supposed to do… what you pay for them to do!

So which Shaklee supplements should you take in order to stay as healthy as possible? Start with:

____ Vitalizer for basic foundational support
____ Life Shake for high-quality protein, fiber and myriad nutrients
____ Vivix to protect and repair cellular DNA and slow aging at the cellular level
____ NutriFeron to stimulate interferon production in the cells

Preventing disease by boosting your immunity

It’s important, especially these days, to prioritize your health and immunity, not only because of the pandemic, but also to enhance your longevity. Recent years have proven that the immune system is critically important in a quality, healthy life.

As the body’s first line of defense, the immune system is incredibly powerful on its own. However, with a few lifestyle interventions, the immune system can be strengthened dramatically.

Here are several tips and lifestyle changes that can help bolster your immune system:

Exercise frequently

It’s already understood that regular exercise is the backbone of living a healthy lifestyle. Not only does it increase lean muscle mass and bone density, but it improves cardiovascular health and mood and improves body homeostasis, which correlates to a strong immune system.

Prioritize restful sleep

An often-overlooked aspect of health, sleep is arguably one of the most important things to prioritize for physical performance, mood, and cognition, as well as the strength of the immune system. The general recommendation for a restful sleep is to achieve 7-9 hours of sleep each night.

To avoid insufficient sleep quality, consider avoiding screen time before bed, reducing or eliminating caffeine and alcohol consumption, setting the bedroom temperature to a comfortable level, and seeking to have the same bedtime and wake-up time each day.

Stay hydrated

Water is an excellent source of hydration, and it also plays a major role in helping the body flush out toxins. This cleansing effect is directly related to strengthening the immune system.
While the minimum daily recommendation for the average person is 8 cups of water, 11 to 15 cups or more are better. And to avoid toxins, drink Get Clean Water.

Follow a healthy, immune-friendly diet

The immune system also requires proper nourishment in order to remain strong and healthy. Contrastingly, malnourishment is the ultimate enemy of the immune system.

While there isn’t any one diet that is optimal, following a generally healthy diet comprised of real whole foods is the most effective method.

Take supplements

Some of the most important nutrients to help strengthen the immune system (and their Shaklee source) include:

>> Vitamin C (Sustained Release Vita-C)
>> Vitamin D (Vita-D3)
>> Vitamin B12 (B-Complex)
>> Zinc (Zinc Complex)
>> Magnesium (VitalMag)
>> Iron (Iron Plus C Complex; Liqui-Lea)
>> Omega-3 fatty acids (OmegaGuard)
>> Macronutrients: Protein (Life Shake), fats, and carbohydrates

Many of these nutrients fight toxins, decrease inflammation, maintain cell integrity, and help the immune system to function optimally.

The most powerful weapon in your immunity arsenal… NutriFeron!

Interferons are a group of proteins that can stimulate various immune cells in the body. They tell your immune system that germs or foreign invaders are in your body, and then trigger your immune cells to fight those invaders.

Because of this, interferons have been identified by scientists, including world-renowned immunologist Dr. Yasuhiko Kojima, as being critical for immune function. Dr. Kojima spent decades screening hundreds of botanicals to identify natural interferon boosters. The exclusive MACH® blend used in NutriFeron® was created based on his work. This blend of nutrients has been shown in laboratory studies to naturally increase interferon levels… and it’s the ONLY supplement on the market that does!

NutriFeron contains a patented blend of four plant extracts derived from pumpkin seed, Asian plantain seed, and safflower and Japanese honeysuckle flowers, plus zinc. So to naturally increase interferon levels and strengthen your immune system at the cellular level, take one-of-a-kind, powerful NutriFeron!
